Macintosh Plus Easter Egg - Image of Designers in ROM

This works any time you have the Mac powered on.

1) Hit the interrupt button on the programmer's switch. A window with a ">"-prompt will open.

2) Type in the following, without the quotes:
"G 41D89A" (or is it "G 81D89A"?)

Ta-daa! A few scanned-in photos of the entire Mac Plus crew right there on you screen, directly from the Rom.

3) Hit the interrupt again and type "G FINDER", or just reboot the Mac. BTW, you can use "G FINDER" any time you want to reboot the OS shell.

I think this works on the Mac "Nothing" (Fat Mac) as well, but not later versions.

The other repliers are right; this only works on SEs, not Pluses. Would it be possible for the moderators to move this thread to a Mac SE section? If you can't find the programmer's switch block on your Mac SE, look through the grilles on the left-hand side of the computer toward the rear; there are two round black switches there. The one closest to the front of the computer is the SUS/INT (interrupt) button and the one closest to the rear of the computer is the RST (reset) button. You may have to press the buttons with a push pin.

I tried this on both a "Macintosh Classic" & a "Macintosh Classic II", and it doesn't work on either of them. The classic gave me a slideshow of garbage, and the classic II crashed :(
